We are in the second half of the slow grow so let’s see what folks have added. Sisters of Silence Starting out with my Sisters of Silence and I added some elite operatives to my force. The Raptora Cadre is a fun unit and whilst I’m not a fan of the retinue rule the rest of the rules make them good enough for me that I wanted to run them.https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/optimist/slow-grow-month-2/Thu, 13 Apr 2023 00:00:00 +0000https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/optimist/slow-grow-month-2/Ok, so I may have been busy last month and unfortunately didn’t have time to write up an overview for February, so this article is a double. Months 2 & 3 each added 250 points so we are now totalling 1000 points as a soft cap though someone may have had a reason to completely smash that target. Sisters of Silence Starting off with my sisters, I decided that trying to move a unit of toughness three, one wound models across the board without any shooting was a bad idea, so I painted a Kharaon Aquisitor painting this was very fun and the black armour is in stark contrast to the white of the rest of the force.https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/optimist/slow-grow-month-1/Sat, 11 Feb 2023 00:00:00 +0000https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/optimist/slow-grow-month-1/So month 1 of the slow grow is complete and the early forces are looking good. Month 1 each player had up to 500 points to paint some players used all of these points others did a little less. Sisters of Silence Starting off with my months work my plan was to make a solid base of the army. This began with some troops namely Prosecutors and Vigilators. The Ruby Oncilla's The Sapphire Caracal's As you can see I went for a white armoured colour scheme with each squad having a different colour for the cloaks and other fabrics.https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/casual/casual2023-update1/Wed, 04 Jan 2023 00:00:00 +0000https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/casual/casual2023-update1/Welcome to 2023, and the revival of blogging. We’ve been a bit quiet these last few months, spending it getting our teeth stuck deep into the community and the game itself. Which has left us little time to blog about the various Warhammer World or Independent events we’ve been to, or even to post much about our hobby progress over that time. Thankfully the eternal Optimist on the team thought it would be a good idea to start up a slow-grow project and that’s given me a good enough reason to go back to something I picked up near this time last year.https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/optimist/slow-grow/Thu, 29 Dec 2022 00:00:00 +0000https://casualandthedamned.com/blog/optimist/slow-grow/The New Year will be upon us soon (or at least for those of us using the Gregorian calendar it will) and as such, the usual New Years traditions come around again. One of these is the classic New Year’s Resolutions, which as wargamers we have turned into an excuse to start a new army. One of my resolutions is to post on this blog a little more, having taken a long hiatus.
